| Obverse description | At center, within an elaborately conventionalized ornamental frame, appears the icon of the Holy Mother from the Church of St. Elias in Dubno, a devotional image gifted by Prince Vasyl Kostiantyn Ostrozky. The small National Emblem of Ukraine (trident) is positioned above the icon at top center. Semicircular legends in Cyrillic arc above and below the central device, reading УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) above and ДЕСЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (Ten Hryvnias) below. Flanking the icon in the field are the mintage year 2004 to the left and, to the right, the logotype of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine along with the metal designation Ag 925 and the fineness weight 31.1. |
