| Reverse description | The facade of the Kyiv Academic Theatre of Operetta is depicted in the central field, rendered in fine relief detail. Above the building, silhouettes of operetta characters drawn from historic theatre bills are arrayed in a decorative frieze. The semicircular legend КИЇВСЬКИЙ АКАДЕМІЧНИЙ ТЕАТР ОПЕРЕТИ (Kyiv Academic Theatre of Operetta) arcs across the upper field, while the inscription 75 / РОКІВ (75 Years) appears in the lower field, commemorating the theatre's 75th anniversary. |

Issued to mark the 60th anniversary of the Kyiv Academic Operetta Theatre, which was established in 1934 but traces the anniversary to its postwar reconstitution in 1949 after the company was evacuated east during the German occupation. Ukraine's commemorative silver program of this period was prolific to the point of dilution — hundreds of cultural and institutional subjects were issued in the late 2000s, many in mintages of 3,000 to 5,000 pieces, keeping secondary market premiums modest despite the series' nominal prestige.
