| Obverse description | The obverse bears a portrait vignette of Ivan Mazepa, Hetman of the Zaporizhian Host (1687–1708), positioned at center-right against a fine guilloche underprint. The inscription ІВАН МАЗЕПА appears below the portrait, with УКРАЇНА at upper left and ДЕСЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ across the lower register. Mazepa, also accorded the title of Prince of the Holy Roman Empire in 1707, is rendered in an intaglio-style engraving consistent with the note's classical portrait treatment. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a detailed architectural vignette of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra (Monastery of the Caves), a historic Orthodox Christian monastic complex, rendered across the full width of the note with its characteristic bell towers and golden domes. The denomination numeral 10 appears in each corner, with НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ arched above and ДЕСЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ along the lower border. The date 1992 and the inscription ПЕЧЕРСЬКА ЛАВРА are integrated into the design. |
