| 表面の説明 | The note is divided into three vertical panels within a fine decorative border. The left panel presents a letterpress vignette of the Zell am See parish church tower with surrounding Alpine townscape; the right panel carries a complementary lakeside scene with a rowing boat and mountain backdrop. The central panel contains the redemption text in Fraktur script, with the denomination numeral '10' printed in blue as an underprint behind the text. The issuer's title 'Gutschein des Seebades Zell am See' appears in bold Gothic lettering across the top, while '10 Heller' is repeated in blue at the lower left and right corners. |

Zell am See issued its own emergency paper money — Notgeld — during the acute coin shortage that gripped Austria in the later years of World War I and its immediate aftermath. The Marktgemeinde operated as issuing authority, a common arrangement when the central government could not supply enough small-denomination coinage to keep local commerce moving. J. Sochar printed these locally, which was also typical of the series: small regional printers, often stationers or jobbing houses, produced runs that rarely circulated far beyond the issuing community.
The Jaksch/Pick JPR1270II designation places this within the second catalogued series for the town, suggesting an earlier issue preceded it.
