背面描述 The reverse is printed in black on plain uncoated paper and carries an entirely typeset text in Gothic blackletter script. The heading repeats the note's title and denomination, followed by four paragraphs explaining the legal basis for the issuance to alleviate the small-change shortage, the non-interest-bearing nature of the notes, the acceptance period, the redemption window from 1 to 30 June 1920, and a warning that counterfeiting is a criminal offence.

备注

Vienna's municipal notgeld program was one of the most extensive in the German-speaking world — a direct consequence of the chronic small-denomination coin shortage that persisted well after the armistice. The Stadtgemeinde Wien issued these Heller notes through 1920 as the newly reduced Austrian republic was still establishing its monetary footing following the collapse of the Habsburg currency system.

H. Engel & Sohn was a local Viennese printer, not one of the major security printing houses, which shows in the relatively modest production values typical of the municipal notgeld series. The JPR1183e suffix indicates a specific variety within what was a sizeable and catalogued run of denomination variants.
