背面描述 The reverse is printed in black on cream paper and divided into two main zones. At left, a tall rectangular panel contains the numeral '10' above the word 'Heller' in Gothic script, all within a ruled border. The right portion carries a central oval vignette framed by a double border and surmounted by the inscription 'Gemeinde Viechtwang' in Gothic lettering; within the oval, a craftsman is shown seated at a workbench beside industrial machinery and timber stacks, evoking the local woodworking or milling trade. Decorative scroll-work and the abbreviated legends 'Ob.' and 'Öst.' appear at the base of the vignette.

备注

Viechtwang is a small market commune in Upper Austria, and like hundreds of similarly modest municipalities it issued emergency paper money — Notgeld — during the severe coin shortage that followed Austria's defeat in the First World War. The 10 Heller denomination is among the lowest values issued in this format, intended purely to replace small change that had vanished from circulation as metal was hoarded or redirected to wartime industry years earlier.

Printed by B. Pr. Etzel of Steyr, a regional firm that supplied Notgeld to several Upper Austrian communes, not a specialist banknote printer. The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR1109-10.3 indicates this is one of multiple Viechtwang issues catalogued under the same municipality prefix.
