| Beschrijving voorzijde | Yellow-toned Notgeld voucher printed in black on plain paper, with a decorative letterpress border framing the entire design. The denomination '10 Heller' appears in bold gothic typeface within ornamental cartouches at left and right, flanking a central heraldic shield vignette — the arms of Türnitz — encircled by laurel branches. Three manuscript signatures appear along the lower margin beneath the titles of the Obmann der Finanzkommission, the Bürgermeister, and the Vizebürgermeister. |

| Opmerkingen |
Türnitz is a small market village in Lower Austria, and like hundreds of Austrian municipalities in 1920, it printed its own emergency small change — Notgeld — to fill the coin vacuum left by wartime metal requisitions and postwar monetary disruption. The 10 Heller denomination sits at the lower end of what municipalities typically issued, intended for everyday transactions that state coinage simply couldn't support.
The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR1086-10 places this within the vast Austrian municipal Notgeld corpus. Türnitz issued multiple denominations under this series; survivorship across the full set is uneven, as many were redeemed and destroyed once the National Bank stabilized small-denomination coinage.
