Comments

Scheibbs is a small market town in Lower Austria, and this note is a product of the chaotic postwar notgeld wave that flooded Austria between 1919 and 1921 when small coin virtually vanished from circulation. Municipalities, merchants, and local authorities printed their own emergency currency in enormous variety — Scheibbs was no exception, commissioning Rudolf u. Fritz Radinger, a local printing firm, rather than any specialist banknote house.

The Jaksc/Pick reference JPR0957Ia-10 indicates this sits within a series; multiple denominations were issued under the same authorization.
