| Beschrijving voorzijde | Green-tinted notgeld on cream paper, enclosed within a decorative chain-link border. The title inscription 'Gutschein der Stadt Salzburg' is set in bold gothic script across the upper field, flanked on both sides by the numeral '10' in large type with 'Heller' centered between them. A faint watermark-style vignette of the Salzburg city arms appears as an underprint in the center. Below, a block of text in German gothic script states the redemption conditions at the Salzburger Sparkasse, dated 'Salzburg, im Juni 1920,' with three manuscript signatures beneath the roles of Der Gemeinderat and Der Bürgermeister; the printer's imprint of Zaunrith'sche Buchdruckerei Salzburg appears at the foot. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in green and black on cream paper, with a tripartite layout. The left and right panels consist of vertical line guilloche patterns framing cartouches in cursive script reading 'Zehn' and 'Heller' respectively. The central vignette presents a detailed line-engraved illustration of the former Linzer Tor (Linzertor) gateway in Salzburg, with the caption 'Ehemaliges Linzertor' above and 'in Salzburg' below the image. The designer's name 'KARL SCHONSWETTER' is printed in small capitals beneath the central composition. |

| Opmerkingen |
This is a piece of Austrian Kleingeldersatz — emergency small-change scrip issued by municipalities when coin shortages made everyday transactions impossible in the years following World War One. Salzburg's city administration was among hundreds of Austrian towns that commissioned local printers for these stopgap issues rather than waiting on Vienna.
Zaunrith'sche Buchdruckerei was a well-established Salzburg commercial press, not a security printer. Karl Schönswetter, who handled the design, worked within severe practical constraints — simple artwork, limited color, and whatever paper stock was available at the time.
