备注

Austrian municipal notgeld exploded in 1920 as small-denomination coins vanished from circulation almost entirely — hoarded, melted, or simply never reminted in sufficient quantities after the wartime disruption to the imperial monetary system. Obertrum, a small market town in the Salzburg district, was among hundreds of Gemeinden that printed their own emergency pfennig-and-heller scrip to keep local trade moving. These municipal issues had no backing and no formal exchange guarantee beyond the issuing town's word.

L. Pech's design credit is unusual enough to note — most rural notgeld of this scale came without named designers. Whether Pech was a local printer or a freelance illustrator working the notgeld trade remains unconfirmed.
