10 Heller Oberachmann

Oberachmann is a small village in Upper Austria, and like hundreds of similarly sized municipalities, it issued its own emergency small change notes — Notgeld — during the severe coin shortage that followed the collapse of the Habsburg economy after 1918. These hyperlocal issues were often signed by the sitting mayor and stamped with a municipal seal to lend them whatever authority a village could muster. Franz Ecker's signature here places him as Bürgermeister at the time of issue.

The JPR prefix in the Jaksch/Pick reference identifies this as an Austrian rural Notgeld type — the "b" suffix variant within the 10 Heller denomination suggests at least two distinct printings or paper variants exist for this municipality.
