| Opmerkingen |
Mödling, a town south of Vienna, was among hundreds of Austrian municipalities that issued Notgeld during the economic chaos following the First World War. This 10 Heller note belongs to that wave of locally produced emergency small change, filling the void left by hoarded coins and an overwhelmed central monetary system. The print date of 30 April 1945 recorded in some references almost certainly reflects a cataloguing or data error — the Austrian municipal Notgeld issues of this type were a phenomenon of 1919–1921, not the final day of the Second World War.
