| Obverse description | Printed in violet on cream paper, the obverse is divided into a narrow left panel and a wider main field. The left panel carries the denomination numeral '10' at top within a ruled box, a vignette of the crowned Madonna of Mariazell below, and the validity inscription 'Gültig bis 30 September 1920' running vertically. The main field bears the issuer heading 'Marktgemeinde Mariazell' in Gothic script at top, followed by the denomination legend 'Gutschein über Zehn Heller' in large calligraphic lettering, a liability clause in German, and three facsimile signatures of municipal officials. A panoramic vignette of the Mariazell basilica and townscape occupies the lower portion, with the printer's imprint 'Emil Frietzel, Steyr' below. |
