备注

The Wirtschaftsverband der Militär-Gagisten was a cooperative purchasing association formed by demobilized Austro-Hungarian military pensioners — men whose fixed state pensions had been gutted by postwar inflation almost immediately after the armistice. By 1920, the Austrian crown was in freefall, and small-denomination coins had effectively vanished from circulation, hoarded or melted. Associations like this one issued their own Notgeld not as a monetary experiment but out of sheer necessity, redeemable only within their own cooperative network.

The 10 Heller denomination by 1920 was nearly worthless in real purchasing terms, which makes the effort to print and distribute it telling.
