| Obverse description | Green and brown letterpress Notgeld note with a decorative guilloche border of fine dotted and striped lines enclosing the entire design. A central oval vignette in brown illustrates a rural church tower amid trees and rocky terrain. The denomination numeral '10' appears in large brown type within oval cartouches to the left and right of the central vignette, set against a green diamond-shaped underprint with floral ornaments. The issuer's name 'Gemeinde Köstendorf' is inscribed in Gothic script across the upper field, with the place name and date 'Köstendorf, Juli 1920' and the anti-counterfeiting warning 'Nachahmung strafbar.' along the lower margin. |
