备注

Kleinmünchen was a prisoner-of-war camp on the outskirts of Linz, Austria, operating under the k.u.k. military administration during the First World War. Camp scrip of this type was issued to prevent inmates from accumulating imperial Austrian currency — a standard concern across the Austro-Hungarian camp system, where money that could facilitate escape or bribery was considered a security risk.

The Campbell reference places this among hundreds of similar Lagergeld issues from the period, but Kleinmünchen examples surface infrequently. Paper camp issues from Austrian facilities were produced in small quantities and rarely survived the war's end intact.
