Obverse description The obverse bears a large central heraldic vignette of the noble coat of arms of Joseph Reichsfreiherr von Haslingen, surmounted by a crowned eagle and flanked by elaborate baroque scrollwork and foliate ornaments. Numeral '10' appears in guilloche oval cartouches at lower left and right. The heading 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Hohenzell.' runs across the top in Gothic blackletter script, while a multi-line inscription at the foot identifies Joseph Reichsfreiherr von Haslingen, noting his birth on 20 June 1733 in Thomaswaldau in Silesia and his death as parish priest and great benefactor of the local school on 6 February 1815.
