背面描述 Blue letterpress printing on cream paper. The central vignette, set within an oval frame with foliate corner ornaments, presents a panoramic view of the village of Herzogsdorf with its prominent church spire and surrounding buildings against an open foreground; a small printer's imprint appears at the lower edge of the oval. The denomination numeral 10 is repeated in squared cartouches at each corner, with horizontal line-pattern borders filling the upper and lower registers.

备注

Herzogsdorf is a small rural commune in Upper Austria, and this 10 Heller note is a product of the Notgeld wave that swept Austrian municipalities between 1919 and 1921 — a direct consequence of the postwar coin shortage that left local economies unable to make change. The commune issued its own scrip simply because the new Republic couldn't supply enough small denomination coinage fast enough. Three signatories is typical for Austrian municipal Notgeld of this period, reflecting the requirement for multiple local officials to authenticate emergency issues.

Printed in Linz, the nearest regional center with press capacity adequate for small-run municipal work.
