| Opmerkingen |
Hall in Tirol was one of hundreds of Austrian municipalities and private firms that issued Notgeld during the postwar currency chaos of 1919–1921, when small-denomination coins vanished entirely from circulation. The Gesellschaft Einsiedler was a local business association rather than a civic authority, which made its scrip legally marginal but practically essential — without notes like this, everyday transactions below one Krone simply couldn't be made.
Josef Metz was a Hall-based designer whose name appears across several local Notgeld issues from the same period. Deutsche Buchdruckerei in Innsbruck handled a significant share of Tyrolean emergency money production during these years, working under considerable pressure as demand for low-denomination paper flooded in from across the region.
