| Obverse description | Dark blue letterpress on cream paper, with the upper register divided into three vignettes: a castle or manor house with a tower at left, a large architectural view of an arcaded building with Gothic gable captioned 'HAGENBERG. 13. MAI 1920.' at centre, and a church with an onion dome at right. The denomination '10 HELLER' appears in bold numerals at lower left and right, flanking a central text block stating the municipality's redemption obligation, valid from 1 January to 31 March 1921. A facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister is printed at lower centre. |

The upper portion of the vignette shows a farmer guiding a horse-drawn plough across a field beneath a radiant sun rendered in geometric lines, while two smaller circular medallions set within a lattice-work ground below contain a fish at left and a standing deer at right, alluding to the region's natural resources.
