| Opmerkingen |
Drosendorf is a walled medieval town in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria, and its municipal notgeld issue of 1920 belongs to the second wave of Austrian emergency currency — the period when chronic small-coin shortages, already severe during the war, continued well into the republic's first years. Municipal bodies at this scale rarely had access to professional printers, and the locally produced nature of this piece is typically evident in the typography and registration.
The Jaksc reference places it firmly in the documented Austrian notgeld corpus, though issues from small Waldviertel communes remain underrepresented in major collections.
