März 1920 Gutscheine zu 10, 20 und 50 Heller aus und haftet für die Verbindlichkeit, diese Scheine in gesetzlichem Bargeld einzulösen. Diese Gutscheine haben bis 30. Dezember 1920 Gültigkeit, sind unverzinslich und werden im Monate Dezember 1920 im Gemeindeamte Blindenmarkt (Niederösterr.) in gesetzl. Bargeld eingelöst. Blindenmarkt is a small market town in Lower Austria, and this 10 Heller note is a product of the postwar Notgeld wave that swept through Austrian municipalities between 1919 and 1922 — a direct consequence of the currency chaos that followed the collapse of the Habsburg economy. The printing was handled locally by Franz Kielar in nearby Amstetten, which was typical of the practical constraints facing small communities that needed emergency small-change but lacked access to major printing houses.
Three municipal officials signed: the Bürgermeister, his deputy, and a Gemeinderat member — an unusually full signing authority for a denomination this small.
