In the centre, an oval official municipality stamp reads 'Gemeindeamt Altaist, polit. Bezirk Perg, Ob.-Öst.' Below, the redemption text states the note is issued to alleviate the small-change shortage and is redeemable until 31 December 1920 for legal tender.
