| Obverse description | Printed in blue on cream paper, the obverse presents a central oval vignette with a letterpress illustration of a rural Austrian village scene: a stone bridge over a stream with a multi-storey farmhouse and outbuildings set against a forested hillside. The denomination numeral '10' appears in the upper left and upper right corners within decorative scroll cartouches, while the word 'Heller' is rendered in Gothic script across the lower left and right margins. The artist's name 'Karl Hayd' is inscribed within the vignette at lower centre, and the printer's imprint 'Druck F. Kling Linz' appears at the lower right outside the vignette frame. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in blue on cream paper and carries the full text of the emergency currency declaration. A bold Gothic-script heading 'Gemeinde Altaist' spans the upper portion, flanked by a continuous geometric ornamental border. In the centre, an oval official municipality stamp reads 'Gemeindeamt Altaist, polit. Bezirk Perg, Ob.-Öst.' Below, the redemption text states the note is issued to alleviate the small-change shortage and is redeemable until 31 December 1920 for legal tender. Three manuscript signatures of municipal officials appear at the bottom, accompanied by their titles, and the note bears the caution 'Nachahmung wird gesetzlich bestraft' (Counterfeiting is punishable by law) along with the edition designation '2. Auflage'. |
