备注

Austrian municipal notgeld of this period was a direct product of the postwar coin shortage — by 1920, small-denomination metal currency had all but vanished from circulation, forcing hundreds of towns to print their own emergency paper. Ried im Innkreis, the administrative center of the Innkreis region in Upper Austria, was among them. The mayor's signature here is that of Hans Leitgeb, who held office during the turbulent early years of the First Austrian Republic.

These local issues were typically printed in short runs and redeemed quickly, which gives surviving pieces more archival than monetary significance.
