A faint municipal coat of arms serves as a central underprint, above which the title 'Gutschein der Stadtgemeinde Ried über' appears in display type, flanked on either side by the denomination figure '10'; the word '(zehn)' is set at centre. A block of smaller German text below sets out the legal basis for the issue, the total authorised amount of fifty thousand Kronen, and the redemption terms at the municipal cashier's office. |

Jänner 1920 Gutscheine bis zu einem Gesamtbetrage von fünfzigtausend Kronen aus. Diese Gutscheine werden in der Zeit vom 1. Aug. bis einschl. 31. Aug. 1920 bei der städtischen Kasse in gesetzlichem Bargeld eingelöst. (Translation: Voucher of the Municipality of Ried for 10 Heller (ten) / To alleviate the prevailing shortage of small change, the Municipality of Ried, pursuant to the municipal council resolution of 11 January 1920, issues vouchers up to a total amount of fifty thousand Kronen.
