Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, with short curled hair, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The legend WILHELM KOENIG V. WÜRTTEMB. curves around the upper periphery. The engraver's initial W appears below the truncation of the bust, near the lower left field. The portrait is executed in a neoclassical style characteristic of early 19th-century German coinage.
