Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Wilhelmina I, depicted as a young woman with her hair swept up and secured in an elaborate chignon, surmounted by a small ornate crown. The portrait, modelled by sculptor Pier Pander, is rendered in fine high relief with carefully detailed tresses and a naturalistic profile. The engraver's signature P. PANDER appears in small letters at the base of the neck truncation. The circular legend KONINGIN WILHELMINA · GOD ZIJ MET ONS runs along the periphery, separated from the portrait by a beaded inner border.
