备注

The Centrale Bank van Suriname was established in 1957, the same year this note was issued — making this among the earliest emissions under that institution. Prior to the bank's founding, currency functions in Suriname had been handled through different colonial arrangements, and this series marked the first step toward a distinct central banking framework within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Enschedé had printed Surinamese notes for decades by this point, a relationship that continued well past independence in 1975.
