备注

De Surinaamsche Bank had relied on Dutch printers before the war, but the German occupation of the Netherlands in May 1940 severed that supply chain entirely. The American Bank Note Company in New York stepped in for the 1941–1942 series, handling production for several Dutch colonial territories that suddenly found their usual European sources inaccessible.

Suriname itself was under increased Allied scrutiny during this period — its bauxite deposits made it strategically critical to the U.S. war effort, and the colony saw a significant influx of American and Brazilian troops from late 1941 onward. Notes from this printing ran alongside that occupation without incident.
