Obverse description Printed in red on white paper, the obverse is centred on an intaglio portrait vignette of Carlos Antonio López, first President of Paraguay, with the national Coat of Arms positioned at upper right. One or two black serial numbers are present, and the note accommodates five signature varieties, with the Gerente General title at left. The full legal tender declaration referencing Decreto Ley No. 18 of 25 March 1952 runs across the lower portion of the note.

Reverse description Printed in purple, the reverse carries a central architectural vignette of the Banco Central del Paraguay building, framed above by the country name and below by the denomination expressed in words. Numerical face value designations appear within guilloche-patterned borders on both lateral margins.
