| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large denomination numeral '10' dominates the upper central field in bold raised numerals, with the denomination text GROSZY arcing below in similarly bold lettering. The word PROBA appears vertically along the right inner border, identifying this piece as a trial strike. A symmetrical laurel branch ornament is displayed in the lower field beneath the denomination, its two sprigs crossing at the base to form a decorative motif framing the lower portion of the design. |

Trial strikes from Polish People's Republic coinage programs are rarely documented in production records that survived the political turbulence of the period, and the 1962 nickel trials are no exception. The standard circulation 10 Groszy of this era was struck in aluminum; a nickel trial at this weight suggests the mint was actively testing alternative alloys, possibly in response to ongoing concerns about aluminum's durability in high-volume circulation.
The ParM and Fischer references place this squarely within the documented proof and pattern series for the period, but surviving examples remain thin on the ground.
