Reverse description Central field features a passant lion to the right within a beaded inner circle, with the date 1629 inscribed above the animal and the denomination mark X (for 10 Grani) positioned below. The Latin motto NON·AIS·SED·FIDES is distributed around the outer legend, separated by small star-shaped ornaments, expressing the Order's motto of faith over words. The overall composition is typical of hammered copper coinage of the Knights of Malta from the early seventeenth century.
