Reverse description The Haitian coat of arms occupies the center of the field, depicting a royal palm tree flanked by six crossed cannons, with two cannon carriages at the base and a trophy of arms including flags and anchors. A scroll below the arms bears the motto L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE. The fineness mark 1000 appears to the lower left and the mint mark IC to the lower right. The circular legend LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 10 GOURDES and date 1971 inscribed in the lower field.
