| Opmerkingen |
The Banque Nationale de la République d'Haïti was, during this period, operating under direct U.S. financial supervision — the National City Bank of New York held a controlling interest following the 1915 American occupation, and the bank's affairs were effectively managed by American interests until 1935. The choice of the American Bank Note Company as printer was neither incidental nor purely commercial.
Pick 153 spans a four-year window that covers significant political turbulence, including the 1922 financial reorganization that restructured Haiti's foreign debt obligations under U.S. pressure. Notes from the earlier dates in this range are noticeably scarcer than those from 1923–24.
