Obverse description Typeset notgeld note printed entirely in red on cream paper, enclosed within a decorative red border of repeating geometric rosette motifs. The text is set in Fraktur blackletter script throughout; the heading reads 'Wertbeständiges Notgeld des Landes Waldeck' followed by an authorization clause referencing the Reichsminister der Finanzen and backing by Reichsgoldanleihe. The denomination is stated centrally as 'Wert 1/42 Dollar Reichsgoldanleihe = 10 Goldpfennige', with the issue date 'Arolsen, den 1.
