Opmerkingen

Bugojno's municipal emergency currency from 1993 belongs to the fragmented monetary landscape that emerged across Bosnia-Herzegovina after the collapse of the Yugoslav dinar and the disruption of normal banking during the war. Individual municipalities, factories, and even hotels issued their own scrip when the supply of usable currency simply broke down. These notes had no formal backing and circulated only within the issuing community's sphere of trust — often a single town or a few neighboring settlements.

The rubber stamp security feature is characteristic of improvised wartime issues: authentication by bureaucratic impression rather than printing technology. Bugojno itself changed hands during 1993, which gives notes from this specific period a compressed and chaotic circulation window.
