Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic religious legend arranged in two or three horizontal registers within a plain border. The inscription is boldly struck in a characteristic Tughlaq-era calligraphic style, with thick strokes typical of hammered billon coinage of the Delhi Sultanate. The legends fill the flan to its edges, consistent with the small module of this denomination.

Reverse description Reverse field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in several registers, recording the ruler's name and titles in the standard epigraphic style of Muhammad bin Tughluq's coinage. The lettering is somewhat irregular and weakly struck in places, as is characteristic of these small hammered billon issues. The legend fills the entire flan with no decorative border discernible.
