| Opis awersu | The obverse is dominated by a large intaglio portrait of Le Corbusier (Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris), the renowned Swiss-French architect, rendered in warm yellow-orange tones and occupying the left and central portions of the note. A multicolour geometric underprint and guilloche patterns fill the background, with abstract architectural forms in blue and gold in the upper register. The denomination numeral '10' appears twice in intaglio to the left, while the issuer name 'BANQUE NATIONALE SUISSE / BANCA NAZIONALE SVIZZERA' is printed vertically along the right margin alongside the value inscriptions 'Dix Francs / Dieci Franchi'. |

The eighth series of Swiss National Bank notes, of which this is part, was designed by Jörg Zintzmeyer and introduced from 1995 onward — making it one of the longest-running series in postwar Swiss monetary history before the ninth series eventually displaced it. Switzerland's multilingual constitutional reality is reflected in the issuer name appearing in all four national languages, German, French, Italian, and Romansh, a requirement that complicates note design in ways most central banks never face.
Orell Füssli in Zurich has printed Swiss banknotes almost without interruption for well over a century, an unusual degree of continuity for a national printing contract.
