正面描述 Central field depicts a detailed panoramic scene of the Giza Plateau, featuring the Great Sphinx in left profile and the three pyramids receding into the background, with a caravan of camels rendered in the middle distance. The circular border is adorned with a continuous frieze of Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols. The date 2025 appears prominently at the top of the inner field. At the base, the circular cartouche of the Bank of the Republic of Burundi is centrally placed, displaying the national arms and the trilingual motto UBUMWE - IBIKORWA - AMAJAMBRE / UNITE - TRAVAIL - PROGRES, with the denomination 10 FRANCS inscribed below.

背面描述 Central design features a stylized frontal effigy of Sekhmet, the ancient Egyptian lioness goddess, depicted in a contemporary artistic rendering with a lion-headed visage, elaborate braided wig, broad collar necklace, and ornate armlets, set against a large circular solar disc. To the right, a vertical panel displays columns of Egyptian hieroglyphic inscriptions. In the lower centre, a circular cartouche bearing an ankh symbol and the name SEKHMET is inscribed. The series title GOLDEN EGYPT appears in large letters to the upper right. Along the bottom of the field, the purity and weight inscriptions .9999 FINEST GOLD and 1/100 OZ are stated.

附加信息

The 45mm diameter on a 0.311g coin tells you everything: this is a gold foil striking, a format pioneered by the Austrian Mint and now widely licensed to smaller sovereign issuers seeking legal-tender bullion products with outsized visual impact. Burundi has leaned heavily into this format since the mid-2010s, issuing dozens of themed foil pieces through licensing arrangements with European minting houses — the coins are legal tender in name, but no one has ever spent one in Bujumbura.

Sekhmet, the Egyptian lioness deity of war and pestilence, has no particular connection to Burundian history or culture.
