The "Renault 1922" in the title refers to the Type NN, the utilitarian workhorse truck that Renault produced in vast numbers during and after the First World War, later becoming the backbone of French commercial transport through the 1920s. The Democratic Republic of Congo — or whatever government held Kinshasa at the time of issue — had no particular connection to French automotive history; this is a frankly commercial collector piece issued under the Banque Centrale du Congo's licensing arrangements, which generated hard currency through foreign numismatic sales rather than domestic circulation.
KM# 105 places it within a broader Congo transport series from the early 2000s.
