Obverse description Within the nickel centre, a mounted armoured knight facing right at full gallop, wearing a visored helmet and chain-mail surcoat, brandishing a lance with pennant in his right hand and a shield on his left arm; the caparisoned horse is depicted in dynamic motion. The engraver's signature 'R.B. BARON' appears in the lower field of the centre. The surrounding copper-aluminium ring carries the Latin motto 'DEO JUVANTE' (With God's Help), the dynastic device of the Grimaldi family, distributed around the full circumference.

Reverse description Within the nickel centre, the crowned interlaced double-R monogram of Prince Rainier III is displayed prominently in the field. The denomination '10 F' appears to the left of the monogram, and the date of issue is inscribed at the base of the centre.
