Obverse description The coat of arms of Rwanda occupies the central field, depicting a heraldic shield supported by two crossed spears and adorned with a bird at the center, flanked by stylized national flags. The denomination numeral '10' appears prominently above the arms in large raised figures, with the legend 'DIX · FRANCS' arcing along the upper periphery. The motto 'LIBERTE - COOPERATION - PROGRES' is inscribed on a scroll at the base of the shield, and the legend 'REPUBLIQUE RWANDAISE' appears on a ribbon across the upper portion of the arms. The engraver's signature 'CVD' is visible in the lower field.
