The inscriptions 'Papilio machaon', '10 FRANCS', '2003', and 'REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO' appear laterally reversed as seen from this face, a characteristic of the single engraved layer within the translucent acrylic planchet.
