The Democratic Republic of Congo has issued an extensive run of silver wildlife pieces aimed squarely at the collector market, with virtually no domestic circulation intended or achieved. The "Orca" issue is part of that program — produced by a country with no coastline and no historical connection to killer whales, the choice of subject is purely commercial, targeting European and North American thematic collectors rather than reflecting anything about Congolese natural history.
