| Obverse description | Within a recessed concave acrylic field, a detailed laser-engraved profile view of a Jackson's horned chameleon (Chamaeleo jacksonii) occupies the upper central area, depicted facing right with its characteristic three rostral horns, scaled body, and tightly coiled prehensile tail rendered in fine relief. Below the chameleon, a small standing lion passant is depicted in the lower centre of the field. The denomination '10 FRANCS' and date '2006' appear to the right of the lion, while the legend 'REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO' curves along the lower periphery. The scientific name 'chamaeleo jacksonii' is inscribed in lowercase lettering near the upper portion of the field. |
