Obverse description	Left-facing bust of President Sékou Touré, wearing a traditional African cap, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail characteristic of Paul Vincze's medallic style. The legend REPUBLIQUE DE GUINEE arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 1962 is divided by the bust at the lower centre, flanked by two small dots. The name · SEKOU TOURE · curves along the lower rim, completing the inscription. The portrait is truncated at the shoulder, showing a collared garment, and occupies the majority of the coin's field.
