| Obverse description | The Rwandan coat of arms is depicted at centre within a raised circular border, featuring a traditional hut, sorghum plant, and olive branch supported by an interlaced rope knot at the base, with a sun motif at the top of the shield. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the upper field, while AMAFARANGA and the numeral 10 appear in the lower field, flanked by ICUMI to the right. The motto UBUMWE - UMURIMO - GUKUNDA IGIHUGU is inscribed on a banner at the base of the arms. The entire design is struck in green-toned niobium, imparting a distinctive iridescent patina to the field and relief elements. |

| Additional information |
Rwanda has issued a series of small niobium coins aimed squarely at the novelty collector market, with the colored niobium providing the green tint without any applied enamel or printing — the color is an intrinsic property of the anodized metal surface. At 0.5 grams and 11 mm, this is among the smallest niobium coins in current commercial production.
