| Aanvullende informatie |
The Democratic Republic of the Congo has issued collector-oriented struck pieces under licensing arrangements since the late 1990s, with the series bearing little connection to Congolese monetary history. This "Chinese Warrior" issue is part of a broader wave of DRC-licensed commemoratives produced primarily for the Chinese collector and gift market, manufactured by private mints under contract rather than by any Congolese national institution.
Silver-plated copper issues of this type were distributed almost exclusively through overseas dealers. Virtually none entered circulation in Kinshasa.
