| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Charles X facing right, rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail to the hair. The king is depicted without crown or laurel, presenting a classical, austere portrait typical of the Restoration period. The legend arcs around the periphery in two segments, divided by the portrait. Engraved by Nicolas-Pierre Tiolier, the bust displays fine modeling of facial features and flowing hair characteristic of early 19th-century French coinage artistry. |
